Kimberly Reilly Damm
Kim discovered yoga in 2009 while pursuing her graduate degree in Theatre at Villanova University. Amid the late nights, demanding hours, and mounting stress, yoga became her sanctuary. When her world was shattered by the unexpected loss of her best friend, Kim found herself on a yoga mat seeking balance. What she discovered there was transformative—strength, healing, and resilience that would ultimately reshape her life's purpose.
Inspired to share the practice that became her lifeline, Kim completed her 200-hour RYT certification through Amazing Yoga (Pittsburgh, PA), training immersively in Alajuela, Costa Rica (Level 1) and Tulum, Mexico (Level 2). Now with over 15 years of practice experience and over a decade of teaching, Kim has brought her unique approach to numerous establishments including Sol Yoga Studio, Bulldog Yoga, Lucille Roberts, and Villanova University. She currently teaches energizing Power and grounding Slow Flow classes at Yoga Six in Conshohocken.
As someone who has navigated the profound grief of losing three loved ones to suicide, Kim approaches both yoga and mindfulness with unusual depth and authenticity. She is a passionate advocate for suicide prevention and mental health awareness, infusing her teaching with compassion born from lived experience. Yet those who attend her classes know her for the joy, creativity, and light-heartedness she brings to even the most challenging practices.
Beyond her yoga teaching, Kim is a dedicated mindfulness educator at Villanova University. Her semester-long "Mindfulness Meditation" course introduces students to transformative contemplative practices through pranayama, hatha yoga, and meditation techniques that enhance creativity, flexibility, clarity, resilience, and peace of mind. She also leads immersive weekend retreats that explore breathwork, seated meditation, walking meditation, mantras, mandalas, and compassion practices—equipping participants with tools for sustainable home practice and everyday mindfulness.
Kim's teachings are further enriched by her interests in astrology, personal development, and creative expression. She views these elements as complementary paths toward authentic self-understanding and wholehearted living.
When not on her mat or in the classroom, Kim enjoys life in Plymouth Meeting with her husband and two beautiful children. She finds renewal through photography, nature exploration, diving into audiobooks and podcasts, and making time for playfulness and joy—the same balanced approach to life that she encourages in her students.
Kim's classes are creative, joyful, soulful, and empowering—an invitation to discover not just physical strength, but the resilience that lies at the heart of true wellness.
